Starship Entertainment Announces Plans to Enter Chinese Market

Entertainment agency Starship Entertainment has announced their plans to enter the Chinese Market.

In an official statement released on April 7, Starship announced, “We have signed a mutual contract with Yuehua Entertainment on April 6.” With this newly-minted contract, the two entertainment companies will mutually manage their artists in both countries, expanding their business into dramas, films, and other ventures.

Starship further added, “We will be doing our best to speed up our advancement into the Chinese market with Yuehua’s production and marketing abilities. We are also planning on managing Yuehua’s stars to help them become stars in Korea. Our partnership and the synergy will be valuable resources in eventually entering the global market.”

Starship Entertainment, founded in 2008, is home to artists like Sistar, K.Will, Mad Clown, Junggigo, and Boyfriend. Yuehua, established in 2009, is home to popular Chinese artists like former Super Junior member Hangeng, as well as rookie idol group UNIQ.
