Kim Sung Min Admits to All Drug Charges
Actor Kim Sung Min has admitted to all drug charges.
On April 10, Kim Sung Min’s first hearing after his arrest for the possession of illegal drugs was held at the Suwon District Court.
After the prosecution listed all of the charges against Kim Sung Min, the actor’s lawyer responded with an admission to all charges and requested a continuation of the pleading, revealing that Kim Sung Min will not be submitting any evidence on his end. He also asked that the judge take his time in setting the date of the next trial.
Although he is pleading guilty, it is being anticipated that Kim Sung Min will submit a letter of reflection and a petition to the court in hopes of receiving a reduced sentence.
Kim Sung Min was arrested on March 11 in his home in Seocho-gu, Seoul on charges of possessing methamphetamine. According to the police, Kim Sung Min purchased 0.8 grams of the drug, which was smuggled from Cambodia.
Soon after his arrest, Kim Sung Min’s wife Lee Hanna had a heartfelt interview with media outlet The Fact in which she insisted that she is to blame for the actor’s latest drug charges.
Kim Sung Min was previously charged for smuggling drugs in 2008 and 2009.
