T-ara Wins Big at China's Yinyue V Chart Awards

T-ara had a big showing at China’s Yinyue V Chart Awards show yesterday, taking home two group awards in addition to an individual award for member Jiyeon.

The group took home Hot Trend Korean Artist of the Year and Most Popular K-Pop Artist during the third iteration of the Beijing-based awards show. Member Jiyeon, after beginning her own solo activities last year, also won Best Korean Artist. Snagging the Most Popular K-Pop Artist award was a particular honor for the group given the award’s fan-based voting system.

Ahead of their appearance at the awards show, T-ara was also a guest at the coronation ceremony of Malaysian Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar on March 29. The group gave the finale performance at the event, singing a total of ten songs.

Meanwhile, member Eunjung will soon be following the lead of Jiyeon and Hyomin as she prepares to start a solo career of her own.
