Kim Sung Min's Wife Asks for Leniency in Sentencing for Drug Charges
Actor Kim Sung Min recently pleaded guilty to charges of smuggling and possessing 0.8 grams of methaphetamine in 2014. He was also previously arrested for smuggling the drug from the Philippines in 2008.
After he was arrested on March 11, his wife Lee Hanna said an interview that she blames herself for his drug problems.
She has now filed two official petitions to the court, one on behalf of her family and the other as an individual.
According to a source in the legal field, “It is difficult to know the content of the petition because the trial is still ongoing. Most petitions of this sort say that they hope the court will be lenient in its sentencing, and it seems that Lee Hanna’s petition is similar.”
She has also contacted some of Kim Sung Min’s celebrity acquaintances to ask them to write similar petitions to the court.
