The staff of the popular variety show “Superman Returns” has run into a conflict involving a last-minute cancellation of a shoot location.

On April 22, a netizen’s post came up on a “Superman Returns” message board complaining about the “Superman Returns” production team’s rude behavior.

The writer of the post is currently the owner a creation center in Insadong, Seoul. He got a call from the “Superman Returns” staff first, requesting to film in his building. The owner claims the staff was too abrupt both in mentioning the request and canceling the promise later.

“[The staff] called me the day before the filming and told me to prepare this and that, completely disregarding any plans that I might have for running my own business. I had no idea they were going to say, ‘We never said filming in this location was confirmed. We didn’t know you had such setbacks, we’re sorry.’ I can’t understand the way they handled the situation,” the owner complained.

Furthermore, the owner wrote in his message, “Was the staff always like this to people like me?  I wrote this because there are bound to be companies similar to mine and I don’t want this to happen again. I demand a proper apology from the staff.”

The “Superman Returns” staff responded right away to this complaint. They stated, “The location we’d requested was very crowded. We were going to film there for five hours and the safety of the kids and onlookers worried us. Even though we canceled, the said company claimed to have experienced business setbacks and kept asking us to film there. Afterwards, we managed to clear the misunderstanding and miscommunication we had with each other.”
