YG Entertainment Donates 100 Million KRW toward Nepal Earthquake Relief

It has been reported that YG Entertainment has made a generous donation toward Nepal earthquake emergency relief.

On May 4, YG Entertainment donated a total of 100 million KRW (~$92,450 USD) to the Korean Committee for UNICEF with the message, “Please use [the donation] to help in recovering the damage from the huge earthquake in Nepal, as well as the victims that are suffering from the aftermath.”

YG Entertainment has always opened up a ‘YG WITH’ campaign booth whenever one of its artists held a concert. Through the ‘Good Way with Us’ project, the agency has continued to raise funds to help Nepal over the years.

The donations that were raised through G-Dragon’s concert in 2013, as well as 2NE1 and YG Family concerts in 2014 were all used to build a school in Nepal, as well as provide computers, training aids, and school supplies.

It is said that the relief fund will be used in providing relief supplies and medicine for the prevention of infectious diseases among the population in Nepal.
