T-ara's Jiyeon Confirmed for New Film, Lee Dong Gun in Talks

T-ara’s Jiyeon has been confirmed for a new film, and actor Lee Dong Gun is in talks to join her.

According to Jiyeon’s management agency MBK Entertainment on May 5, “Jiyeon will appear in Korean-Chinese co-production film ‘Encounter’ (working title)” and “is leaving for China on [May] 7 for filming.”

On the other hand, Lee Dong Gun’s management agency FNC Entertainment shared, “There are still things we need to figure out” but that “discussion is proceeding positively.”

Currently slated for an October release in China, “Encounter” is about a romance that unfolds on a cruise that goes back and forth between Barcelona, Spain and the Indian Ocean. Lee Dong Gun is being considered for the role opposite Jiyeon.
