Yang Hee Eun's "Mother to Daughter" Gains New Attention as the Perfect Mother's Day Music Video
Singer Yang Hee Eun’s new song “Mother to Daughter” is gaining new attention for the Parent’s Day holiday in Korea, and just in time for Mother’s Day in the United States.
Originally released in March, the music video for the song features the touching story of a mother and daughter’s relationship. It portrays the daughter’s growth from a young girl to a married woman and a mother who must finally let go of her little girl.
Playing the mother in the video is Yang Hwi Kyung, the younger sister of Yang Hee Eun, while the daughter is played by musical actress Jung Ga Hee. Their acting was so moving that it apparently brought staff members who watched it to tears.
Regarding the song, Yang Hee Eun said, “I don’t have a daughter or a son. But my 86-year-old mother is still alive and is a huge source of strength for me. I hope that mothers and daughters are able to share their sincere feelings this month.”
