SISTAR's Bora Sheds Tears as She Discusses Father's Passing and Mother's Health

SISTAR’s Bora was very emotional during the recent filming of KBS’s “Vitamin” as she discussed the passing of her father and her mother’s health.

SISTAR members Bora and Soyou both took part in the filming for the upcoming “Family Month” special of the show, celebrating Korea’s Parent’s Day and Children’s Day holidays. During filming, Bora revealed that her father suddenly passed away from cancer on the day that she found out about her JYP audition. “My father passed away the very day that I got a love call from Park Jin Young’s company,” she explained, recalling the difficult point in her life.

She then went on to discuss the concern she now has for her mother, saying, “After my father, who seemed healthy, passed away so suddenly, I’m always worrying about my mother’s health.” The singer was then moved to tears after seeing a video of her mother now living alone.

Meanwhile, the “Family Month” special of “Vitamin” will air on May 13.
