YB (Yoon Do Hyun Band), one of the biggest and most influential rock bands in Korea, will be joining the Smashing Pumpkins on tour in the United States this year.

The band’s front man Yoon Do Hyun is considered to be a pioneer of Korean indie rock and is highly respected for the work he does to support the growth of rock music in the country. The band is known for their extremely powerful and dynamic performances, and has a huge legion of devoted fans in Korea.

YB will be opening for the Smashing Pumpkins on their upcoming acoustic tour entitled “In Plainsong,” which will kick off on June 15 in Buffalo, New York. They will also be performing with the famed alternative rock band in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Iowa, and several other American states.

Their thirty-minute set will include English versions of their famous songs, and also most likely their English-language single “Cigarette Girl,” which they released in February of 2014.

Yoon Do Hyun said, “Listening to the Smashing Pumpkins’s albums was a big influence on my dreams. It’s like one of my dreams is coming true since YB will be joining them on stage.”
