“Mask” Beats Wednesday-Thursday Dramas for First Place with First Episode
SBS‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Mask” starts out with a bang as it achieved first place in ratings with their first episode.
According to viewership ratings research company Nielsen Korea, the May 27 broadcast of the first episode of “Mask” recorded 7.5 percent ratings.
The first episode introduced the story of dopplegangers portrayed by actress Soo Ae. Byun Ji Sook is a sales associate at a department store while Seo Eun Ha is daughter of a member of the National Assembly. The talented actress is receiving praise for successfully pulling off two completely different roles.
Telling a tale somewhat similar to that of “The Prince and the Pauper,” “Mask” features Soo Ae, Joo Ji Hoon, Yeon Jung Hoon, Yoo In Young, INFINITE‘s Hoya, and more.
Meanwhile, MBC‘s “Warm and Cozy” came close to first place with 7 percent ratings while KBS2‘s “Masked Prosecutor” collected 5.3 percent ratings.
