Actress Ha Yeon Soo Takes Offense at Netizen’s Marriage Proposal Spam
Actress Ha Yeon Soo recently spoke out against a netizen who repeatedly wrote the same spam marriage proposal on her personal Facebook account.
On June 1, a netizen commented on a picture she posted: “*^0^) “Yeon Soo jjang! Please marry me! I can definitely support/take care of you. I may not be as capable as Yeon Soo-jjang, but I have a considerable amount of money saved up. Please marry me~~~~~ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.”
After seeing this message, Ha Yeon Soo wrote back, “This is offensive. I really hate jokes like this. Even if it was only intended as a joke, you always write the same exact message, asking me to marry you, and then adding on ‘ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ’ at the end. I remember it because it gives me chills how it’s always the same identical comment. Always the same message, the same emoticon..It even made me wonder if you might have a bit of a psychological issue. The way you leave comments asking for marriage on every single thing I post..I think you’re crossing the line. If you have any consideration for your actual wife in the future, isn’t this behavior embarrassing? I don’t know how old you are, but I hope you think about the feelings of others before spitting out words. Have a nice day.”
In regard to this incident, the actress’s agency, BH Entertainment, stated, “As it has been made known, a netizen has repeatedly been leaving strange comments on Ha Yeon Soo’s Facebook, so she responded with a comment to express her discomfort. This was a result of a netizen’s offensive actions that went too far. Please be understanding of the actress’s firm tone, which may have caused any misunderstandings.”
