Ryu Seung Bum Talks Wanderlust and Feeling Freer than Ever with High Cut Magazine

Actor Ryu Seung Bum features in a pictorial and interview for the latest issue of star and style magazine High Cut.

Readers can get a good idea of the actor’s personal everyday style from the pictorial, as all of the clothes he wears are his. In one of the cuts, Ryu Seung Bum is especially au naturel as he poses shirtless, revealing the unique tattoos that run up his arm onto his collar bone and shoulder blade.

In the corresponding interview, he reveals that he intentionally ditched the makeup for his upcoming film “My Good Friends The Villains,” which is slated for a June 25 release. “I wanted to do a film without any makeup, so for the first time, I didn’t wear any makeup in a movie,” he says. “Over and above not having makeup on my face, I felt like I had taken off a mask. I just want to live being true to myself. I think in the past I just acted like I was free-spirited, but now I feel much freer than I did before.”

The actor also shares about his life in Paris, where he has spent most of his downtime for the past three years, “I took pictures, watched performances, and read a lot of books I hadn’t read before. Right now, I’m learning guitar.” He continues, “I read in a book somewhere that a ship wasn’t made to be anchored but to voyage. I think that I as well, wherever I am, will always be voyaging. Whether it’s Korea or France, I have decided not to remain in one place.”
