VIXX’s Hyuk to Make His Acting Debut Through Upcoming Movie
It has been reported that VIXX member Hyuk will soon be jumping onto the big screen for his acting debut.
On June 10, a representative of THE Queen revealed, “Actor Kim Jung Tae and idol group VIXX’s Hyuk have been cast in a new non-stop style comedy-action film ‘Hold On to Live’ (working title).”
It is said that Kim Jung Tae will be taking on the role of a detective named Jung Taek, while Hyuk is set to act out the character of Won Tae, also a detective. They will be joined by actor Kim Seung Woo as well.
On the casting of Hyuk, a representative of the movie shared, “We prepared and carried out auditions for a long time, focusing on idol members who have an interest in acting and are prepared to act, but have not yet appeared in any movies or dramas, in order to play out the familiar yet refreshing role of Won Tae.
Although Hyuk doesn’t have acting experience, he has continued to receive acting lessons and he has a strong passion for acting. We ended up casting him because he fit the image we wanted.”
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of “Hold On to Live” are planning to kick off filming next month, aiming for a premiere at the end of the year.
