Jung Joon Young Calls Seungri and Reveals Friendship on Radio Show

Jung Joon Young is good friends with quite a few people in the entertainment field, one of them including BIGBANG’s Seungri.

“Rock-dio,” led by Jung Joong Young, aired for the first time on June 11 through MelOn.

All the members of Jung Joon Young Band appear, as he comments, “Though I’m already the main DJ for another radio station, this is the first time my entire band has appeared with me.”

During  the phone call corner, Jung Joon Young calls BIGBANG’s Seungri. When Seungri immediately picks up, Jung Joon Young surprises him by imitating T.O.P. Though taken aback at first, he soon plays along, jokingly telling the rocker to get his act together and do a better job.

When asked about what he thinks about Jung Joon Young’s new song, he compliments, “I like the vintage punk sound of the song. It’s a type of band song that isn’t common in Korea.”

Despite the compliments, the atmosphere quickly turns competitive during the quiz corner. Thanks to Seungri’s distractions, Jung Joon Young Band loses the opportunity to pick a song to play, and the opportunity is passed on to Seungri. If he gets the correct answer, Jung Joon Young Band’s song will be played, and if he gets the wrong answer, a girl group’s song will be played. Tempted to play a cute girl group song, Seungri ends up picking an answer that isn’t one of the given choices.

Despite the competition, the two joke along like old friends. When Seungri says, “Why do you try to look so cool when singing ‘OMG,’ Jung Joon Young reflects the attack back at him, saying, “You should see yourself when you sing ‘Bang Bang Bang.’”
