Much of the appeal of K-pop lies in the dance or performance for a song; having a catchy – and learnable – dance in addition to an equally catchy song is a sure way to success, and, with pretty much every K-pop group aiming to achieve this goal with every performance track, it’s become somewhat of an expectation.

And it’s an expectation met and bar set repeatedly by 4Minute. The group is already celebrating their 6th anniversary (June 18, 2015) since their storm of a debut in 2009, and six years later, 4Minute has a slew of moves and songs in their repertoire that instantly became issues in the K-pop world upon release.

In honor of #6YearsWith4Minute, here are six of 4Minute’s most iconic dances and songs!

The famous “head-to-toe” dance easily became Song Ji Hyo’s go-to dance of choice.

This one was so easy and fun, even the boys loved it.

“What’s Your Name” is still a sought after performance two years later alongside “Crazy,” and will likely continue to be so in the future, kind of like BoA‘s “No.1,” “My Name,” and “Girls on Top.”

“What’s Your Name” was so good, 4Minute released a followup with “Whatcha Doin’ Today,” yet another hit.

4Minute just rocks this choreography by the super-talented dancer/choreographer Parris Goebel, who gave it the perfect balance of powerful and sexy.
