Lee Seung Gi Attempts to Overcome Past Dancing Trauma With New Dance
The June 19 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” featured Lee Seung Gi as a guest. The singer is currently promoting his sixth album “And…”
Having listened to all of the singer’s new songs, MC Yoo Hee Yeol comments, “There was one dance song that didn’t really fit in.” Lee Seung Gi replies, “I have given up on dancing.” The singer then shares about his past traumatic experience dancing on “Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter.”
Following his statement, a video of his past dancing is revealed. The singer is unable to lift up his head due to embarrassment. Yoo Hee Yeol jokes, “It’s a good dance. It’s really not cool.” Lee Seung Gi admits, “I thought I’m not good at dancing in step. I didn’t do it wrong, but it looks like a piece of paper.” His frank comments garner many laughs from the audience.
Yoo Hee Yeol continues, “There are two singers with that kind of aura” and points out Lee Seung Gi and Sung Shi Kyung. He then gives Lee Seung Gi a chance to recover from his dance trauma by giving him an opportunity to dance to his new dance track.
When the music starts, the singer begins to move his body and stand up while shaking his butt to the groove. After his dance, he says, “I tried to overcome my trauma, but now it has become an even more traumatic experience. It’s a trauma I cannot wash away. I will show a better dance if I come to ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ again in the future.”
