7 K-Pop Idols Who Need Their Own Reality Show Now

With the recent announcement that Key of SHINee will soon star in his own reality show, it brought up thoughts of other stars that we would love to see in their own reality program. In the Western market, there is a huge demand for reality shows like “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” which follow the daily life of a celebrity or family. In Korea, there are many variety-reality shows which focus on a group of stars or a specific band- “Roommate,” “EXO’s Showtime” and “One Fine Day” to name a few. However, it is rare for a reality show to be focused primarily on just one artist and truly follow them around as they fulfill their normal, daily schedules. Anyone that knows me well is fully aware of my huge love affair with Key, so while I’m super pumped to see his show, I also have a lot of other celebrities that I would love to see star in their own reality show as soon as possible. Who are they? Let’s check it out in “7 K-Pop Idols Who Need Their Own Reality Show Now.”

1. G-Dragon – BIGBANG

Most people can agree that G-Dragon has firmly established himself at the top of the game when it comes to K-Pop. Apart from being the genius songwriter and producer behind numerous hit songs, he is the leader of famed idol band BIGBANG and a hugely successful solo artist as well. A trendsetter in both fashion and music, many fans would love to get a glimpse of his daily life in Korea.  If you add in his adorable personality and interesting circle of friends, then this show would definitely be a guaranteed success! Fellow band member T.O.P would also be fun to see in his own reality show.

2. Amber – f(x)

Amber is loved by both fans and fellow idols alike, so it’s no wonder I would love to see her star in her own reality show. Her unique style and personality have shown us that she definitely marches to the beat of her own drum and isn’t afraid to be 100 percent true to herself. With that in mind, I think her show would be different, funny, quirky and highly entertaining! Considering her wide group of famous friends that includes Got7′s Jackson and Super Junior’s Donghae, it would also be fun to see them interact with Amber in her free time.

3. Heechul – Super Junior

Due to his 4D personality, Heechul was one of my first biases in K-Pop. His dry wit and sarcasm make for a unique and funny sense of humor. In addition, he is very quick-witted and has a flair for variety shows. He is yet another star with a lot of famous friends, so he could really shine in a reality show that would showcase his funny personality and idol lifestyle. It would also give the public a chance to see his softer and more mature side as well.

4. Park Bom – 2NE1

Whether 4D personalities are more interesting or it’s just a strange coincidence, here is another 4D star that I would love to see in her own reality show. Park Bom is well known for her unique personality and sense of humor, so a show that follows her every day activities would surely be entertaining for viewers! It would also give us an interesting glimpse into the daily life of a top female idol group. Most fans can also agree that they would love any chance to see beyond the hallowed doors of YG Entertainment as well.

5. Kwanghee – ZE:A

Without a doubt, a reality show featuring Kwanghee would be one of my favorite TV shows ever! As one of the funniest idols around, Kwanghee would be sure to entertain us with his bubbly personality and somewhat crazy antics. It would also give us a peek into his private life to see if he is always that talkative and happy, as well as what he does when he is alone or bored. As an extra bonus, we could also see a bit of Kwanghee’s dorm life with fellow ZE:A members such as Siwan and Dongjun.

6. Eric Nam

What’s it like to rub elbows with the biggest stars in both Korea and the USA? If Eric Nam had his own reality show, we would be able to find out! As a host for “After School Club,” he regularly films with top idols in K-Pop. He has also done numerous interviews and special segments with Hollywood stars like Paris Hilton and Amanda Seyfried when they were visiting Korea. With his bright personality and established career as a soloist as well, this show would be a lot of fun to watch.

7. N – VIXX 

To be fair, I would tune in to a reality show with N just to watch his gorgeous face for an hour every week. However, his attractions go far beyond the surface. As an MC, radio host and actor, N is a really well-rounded idol who stays busy with a variety of activities and could provide a glimpse into the mysterious private lives of K-Pop idols. What would make the show even more interesting though, is the fact that N is an award-winning choreographer as well! Have you ever wondered about the process behind those complicated idol dances? If so, then a variety show with N would be perfect!

That’s it for “7 K-Pop Idols Who Need Their Own Reality Show Now!” Although there are a lot of other artists that would be great in their own show (like Jo Kwon, BTS’ V, U-KISS’ AJ, EXID’s Hani, etc), these are just seven individuals who would give us interesting and entertaining programs right now.
