All SISTAR Members Become Rappers for Special Performance on “Sketchbook”
During SISTAR’s recent visit to KBS music show “Sketchbook” on June 27, host Yoo Hee Yeol asks the group how they imagine themselves in five years, when it becomes their tenth debut anniversary.
Hyorin speaks up first, and says, “When it comes that time, we really want to release an album ‘made by SISTAR,’ one that really reflects our ideas, be it through our concept, style, music, or genre of music.
Yoo Hee Yeol then follows up with the question, “So say you’re making your next album. What kind of album would you want to make?”
“Really hard hip hop,” replies Hyorin.
Soyu says, “Because we do everything performance-based, we don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to communicating with the audience.”
Hyorin explains, “When singers can really just play around and have fun with the audience. You know, it’s the kind of thing that bands are really good at. We really want to do those kinds of stage performances, but we’re not really confident in that area. We even get thoughts like, ‘What if we tell everyone to stand up but no one does?’”
Following their “Shake It” performance, much to the delight of the audience, SISTAR has a third performance prepared, where they try their hand at the hip hop performance they’ve always imagined, with all members taking rap verses.
