BTOB on Charting First Place for the First Time: “We Thought It Was Photoshopped”
The members of BTOB shared their reactions to reaching number one on music charts for the very first time since their debut during the comeback showcase and press conference that was held on June 29 to celebrate the group’s first-ever full-length album, “Complete.”
Following the release of “Complete” at midnight on June 29, BTOB’s newest title track “It’s Okay” rose to the top of the charts, marking the group’s first time in four years.
About this accomplishment, the members expressed, “We have never been number one. We couldn’t believe it at first. It was really amazing. We thought our song was ranked in the ‘recommended’ spot.” (The recommended spot usually hangs above the rest of the chart ranking, right above the number one song).
They continued, “We thought the chart had been photoshopped. We yelled really loudly and all of our members and company employees cried. We were so happy that we all went out to eat meat afterwards. We are happy,” sharing the emotions they felt after finally achieving what most singers hope to achieve.
Congrats to BTOB!
