Choi Kang Hee Revealed to Have Secretly Donated to Charities Since Last Year

There have been reports that actress Choi Kang Hee has been making secret donations, and the actress’ agency recently confirmed them saying that it’s true.

In earlier news, an insider in the broadcast industry told news outlet MBN Star, “Choi Kang Hee has been secretly doing good deeds since last year. She has donated over 500 million won (approx. 445,000 USD) in total.”

An affiliate of Choi Kang Hee’s agency Will Entertainment later responded, “[Her giving donations] is true, but she does not want to reveal the amount of money donated and the names of the charities she has donated to. She is very shy in revealing them.”

The actress is so well-known for her kind heart that she has earned the nickname “good deed angel” amongst her fans. In 1999, she signed up to donate her own bone marrow, and in 2007 she underwent the operation to give it to a patient who matched the criteria. She later received a Social Welfare Award in 2008 for all her kind actions.

Meanwhile, Choi Kang Hee is currently appearing on OliveTV’s show “MAPS.”
