Korean Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Accepts Mino’s Apology
The Korean Association of Obstericians and Gynecologists (KAOG) has decided to accept the apologies from WINNER‘s Mino and Mnet‘s “Show Me the Money 4“.
A representative from KAOG announced through a press release on July 14, “This morning, Mnet and YG Entertainment’s Song Mino all sent us an apology. Mino’s apology was the same as what was posted to social media the day prior. […] Mnet also called to let us know that the producers of the show responsible for the airing will be visiting to apologize in person. YG called as well to ask about follow-up procedures to their apology.”
They continued, “We have determined that they were being sincere, and we decided to accept their apologies,” adding, “We hope that the Korean women also receive a sincere apology, and that this incident provides an opportunity to overcome the misconceptions regarding gynecology in Korean society.”
Previously, Mino was caught up in controversy when he rapped “MINO targeting daughters / open your legs like you’re at the gynecologist’s” on the July 10 broadcast of “Show Me the Money 4.”
The KOAG then issued a statement stating that they will take legal actions if no apologies for the offensive broadcast was given.
