GFRIEND Tops Charts With Release of "Me Gustas Tu"

Rookie girl group GFRIEND is off to a fantastic start with their comeback, showing that they’re a force to be reckoned with alongside a number of senior groups making comebacks this summer.

On July 23, GFRIEND released their second mini-album “Flower Bud” through a number of digital music sites. Their title song, “Me Gustas Tu,” took first place in the real time charts as soon as it was revealed, signaling a green light to their comeback.

The title song “Me Gustas Tu” took first place on the real time charts on Mnet, Olleh Music, and Cyworld Music, and entered other music charts in high positions. These results are especially meaningful as the rookies are competing against well-established senior girl groups as well as Hyukoh and Zion.T, who are gathering attention due to their recent appearances on “Infinity Challenge.”

“Me Gustas Tu” is a fun, bouncy song that was written by the same team that wrote GFRIEND’s hit debut song “Glass Bead.”

Meanwhile, GFRIEND made their comeback on July 23 on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” and performed “Me Gustas Tu” for the first time on stage.
