EXO's D.O Considering First Lead Role for Feature Film
EXO’s D.O (Do Kyung Soo) is considering an offer for a lead role in a feature film. This opportunity comes one year after his first film role in the movie “Cart.”
The budding actor is currently filming the movie “Pure Love” in Goheung, Jeollanam-do province alongside Kim So Hyun.
SM Entertainment has officially stated that the EXO member is positively reviewing the casting offer.
The movie in question is titled “Hyung” and is described as a human story with two brothers as the main characters. Filming should begin in October or November of this year. D.O’s role will be that of the younger brother who suffers an unfortunate accident who gradually grows up. Since filming for “Pure Love” will end around August or September, the actor will have to start filming again right away. The casting for the role of the elder brother has not been confirmed yet. However, an unnamed top star in his thirties is reportedly considering the role.
“Hyung” boasts writer Yoo Young Ah who previously worked on the hit movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7” as well as director Kwon Soo Kyung who helmed “Barefoot Gi Bong.” The movie promises to bring out tears and compassion as it tells the tales of small and large hurdles endured by the brothers.
