WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo Cast as Lead in Upcoming Korean-Chinese Drama

It has been confirmed that WINNER member Kim Jin Woo will be trying his hand at acting as one of the lead roles in an upcoming Korean-Chinese co-produced drama!

On August 4, the production company of the drama, Aura Media, revealed, “WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo and actress Park Min Ji have been cast in ’The Magical Cell Phone’ (working title). They will begin filming around the middle of August.”

Aura Media recently teamed up with a Chinese production company to create a five-episode joint drama production.

“The Magical Cell Phone” is a romantic comedy, combined with a bit of mystery and fantasy, that tells the love story between an idol girl group star and a regular boy.

The drama is expected to be available for viewing both online and offline throughout Asia this coming fall season.
