Jay Park to Contribute to “Oh My Ghost” OST

CJ E&M, the production company behind tvN’s hit drama “Oh My Ghost,” revealed on August 12 that Jay Park will be singing a song for the drama’s OST.

His song “Eyes” will be released on August 14. “Eyes” is described as a smooth and tender song made by sampling classical music. With its heartfelt lyrics, the song encompasses the feelings involved in having to separate from a loved one and remembering memories associated with that person. Composer Park Woo Sang who has previously worked on songs for MAMAMOO and “Plus Nine Boys” has written and composed “Eyes.” Music arranger Kwon Suk Hong and string team RB-INJ also participated.

Jay Park is mostly known for his trendy hip-hop and R&B songs. He is currently appearing as a producer on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 4” alongside Loco. However, he will be showing a different musical style through this OST with his emotional voice.

He reportedly received praise during the recording of the song and was described as having a beautiful voice akin to Michael Jackson.

Meanwhile, “Oh My Ghost” features a romance between a kitchen porter who becomes possessed by a virgin ghost and a head chef. The drama stars Park Bo Young, Jo Jung Suk, Im Joo Hwan, Kim Seul Gi, Park Jung Ah, and more. It airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. KST.
