Park Myung Soo Is Shocked by Non-Koreans in France Who Can Speak Korean on "Infinity Challenge"

The rise of K-pop has definitely led to an increasing number of people interested in Korean. Park Myung Soo sees this phenomenon himself when he encounters a flight attendant and shop worker at a French airport that can speak to him in Korean.

On the episode of MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” that aired on August 15, Park Myung Soo embarks on a long journey to Chile. It takes 12 hours from Incheon to Paris, 14 hours and 30 minutes from Paris to Santiago, and then 4 hours and 40 minutes on a domestic plane from Santiago to Punta Arenas.

While searching for his transfer flight in Paris, Park Myung Soo encounters a flight attendant. To his surprise, when he is about to start speaking to her in English, she greets him in fluent Korean. The flight attendant explains that she used to live in Korea and helps Park Myung Soo find his gate number.

Soon afterwards, Park Myung Soo heads to a macaroon shop and finds yet another cashier who can speak Korean.

“Is this a hidden camera prank? I’m getting goosebumps. I clearly heard her say, ‘Don’t do it’ in Korean. Are you guys doing this on purpose?” he asks the crew.

The cashier reveals she used to study Korean in college, and Park Myung Soo is totally impressed by her language skills as well as his luck in coming across these helpful people!
