Kim Go Eun Explains Why She Chose

Actress Kim Go Eun, who will be appearing in her first drama ever with tvN‘s “Cheese in the Trap,” explained why she chose the drama.

The “Memories of the Sword” star said in a recent interview, “Director Lee Yoon Jung‘s work ‘Coffee Prince‘ is a work that I was sucked into and I watched over and over. I’ve always wanted to work with her one day and I’m very excited to be able to work with her. I have high expectations.”

“Cheese in the Trap” is a drama that deals with a perfect male student Yoo Jung (Park Hae Jin) and an ordinary junior Hong Seol (Kim Go Eun) with a top university as backdrop.

Kim Go Eun revealed that the story itself appealed to her as well, saying, “I’ve had a thirst for a romance, and it wasn’t easy to choose a project. In that way, ‘Cheese in the Trap’ appealed to me because it’s not simply a romantic story. It also is a work through which I could think about a person’s complicated thoughts.” She continued, “It’s a very realistic story and I experienced something similar not too long ago, so environmentally speaking, I think I can be more comfortable in the role.”

She then relayed her excitement to begin shooting the drama, saying, “The specific filming schedule hasn’t come out yet, but since this is my first drama, I also have high expectations. I’ll be trying my best.”
