Openly Gay Celebrity Hong Suk Chun Reveals Why He Doesn't Plan on Going to America to Get Married

Hong Suk Chun reveals the reason why he doesn’t plan on traveling abroad for marriage.

The openly gay celebrity revealed on the August 17 episode of SBS’s “Healing Camp” that he is currently dating, and says, “I want to be able to dream of getting married in Korea.”

At this, the MC Kim Jae Dong says, “It seems you’re a bit scared about marriage.” Hong Suk Chun replies, “I have no other choice. In Korea, marriage is a natural worry for everyone. I am in a situation where I can’t even have this natural worry, so I get flustered when asked about marriage. Lately, there are countries that are legalizing same-sex marriage, so there are people around me who tell me to go get married in America. I did think about it, but I thought it would be amazing if a day came before I died, when I could even dream of getting married in Korea. It’s a normal marriage except that the person next to me would be wearing a suit, but people don’t treat us in a normal way.”
