YG Model Kim Kyu Ho to Make Acting Debut in Hybrid Drama Variety Show "Serial Shopping Family"

YG K-Plus model Kim Kyu Ho will be making his acting debut on JTBC‘s new hybrid sitcom-variety show “Serial Shopping Family.”

Featuring an MC lineup that consists of Park Myung Soo, Lee Young Ja, Park Ji Yoon, Sunny of Girls’ Generation, and Park Won of One More Chance, “Serial Shopping Family” is a program aimed at analyzing the shopping habits and preferences of the average consumer. Each episode will air a short sitcom based on a theme, which the MC panel will then discuss and analyze.

Kim Kyu Ho will be taking on the male lead for the sitcom portion, starring opposite Secret‘s Song Ji Eun who has already previously confirmed as the main actress.

Kim Kyu Ho previously appeared in YG web drama “We Broke Up” as keyboardist Han Shim Hoon. You may also remember from his kissy CF (below) with fellow YG K-Plus model Lee Sung Kyung or in the music video for Daylight‘s “I’m Calling You” (also below).

“As much as he thinks that he is significantly lacking [as an acting], Kim Kyu Ho is giving his all to his acting studies,” a representative from YG K-Plus commented. “We ask for a lot of support such that he can make his mark as a devoted actor who is recognized for his acting chops.”

Meanwhile, “Serial Shopping Family” will premiere on JTBC on August 22 at 11 p.m., KST.
