New Girl Group April's Average Age Is 16 Years Old; Youngest Member Is 13

DSP Media‘s new girl group April celebrated the release of their debut mini album “Dreaming” on August 24 with a showcase in Seoul.

During the event, they say, “Our average age is 17.5 [in Korean reckoning]. We’re known as being very young.”

April is a six-member group composed of Jinsol (13 years old in Western reckoning), Yena (15), Naeun (16), Hyunjoo (17), Chaewon (17), and leader Somin (19). In Western reckoning, their average age is 16 years old.

The girls reveal that they have a lot of ambition by promising to show many things as new, fresh, and pure idols. They add, “Since we’re still young, we’ll work hard and keep going for a long time.”

In regards to the concept for their outfits in this album, April says, “They’re special because they’re something that we wouldn’t normally be able to wear. They’re like something in a storybook, like what Alice in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ would wear.”

The music video for their title song “Dream Candy from their first mini album was released on April 24.
