CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa Holds First Place on Gaon Weibo Chart for 40 Weeks Straight
CNBLUE member Jung Yong Hwa has now held the first place on the Gaon Weibo Chart for forty weeks in a row, showing just how popular the star is in China!
The Gaon Weibo Chart ranks the popularity of Korean groups and artists in China based on data collected from China’s most popular social media platform, Weibo. Jung Yong Hwa has been the reigning king of the chart for individual artists since November 17, 2014.
Since Jung Yong Hwa made a Weibo account in 2014, he’s been communicating often with his fans in Chinese, and the number of “likes” on his posts average at around 200,000.
Jung Yong Hwa debuted earlier this year as a solo artist with his first album, “One Fine Day.” It has been reported that CNBLUE is currently wrapping up recording on their next album and plans to stage a comeback in September, although the news has yet to be confirmed.
