EXO's D.O Confirmed to Play Jo Jung Suk's Brother in New Film

It has been confirmed that EXO‘s D.O will be joining actor Jo Jung Suk in his big screen comeback.

In “Hyung” (working English title), D.O and Jo Jung Suk will play brothers that struggle through their fair share of trials and tribulations. Jo Jung Suk will play a conman who shows up at his successful judo player younger brother’s (played by D.O) doorstep after leaving home 15 years ago.

D.O commented, “It’s a role that I haven’t had yet, so I have a great ambition to do even better. After reading through the scenario without a break, I became so nervous and expectant and excited that I couldn’t sleep. I will not forget that mindset and really give my all to acting.”

Jo Jung Suk shared, “I think it is every actor’s desire to be part of a good work. This is why I chose this film without hesitation, and I think its greatest appeal is that it’s a human story that everyone can empathize with. I am already looking forward to it a lot.”

Helmed by director Kwon So Kyung of “Barefoot Kibong” and writer Yoo Young Ah of “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” “Hyung” will begin filming in October and is slated to premiere next year.
