Yoon Tae Young Confirmed to Play Korean-American Gangster in New OCN Drama

Actor Yoon Tae Young will be returning to the screen after a one-year hiatus through OCN’s new drama “Neighborhood Hero.”

The channel confirmed on September 2 that Yoon Tae Young has been cast for the role of Yoon Sang Min, a second-generation Korean-American living in New York.

Now a member of a Korean street gang, Yoon Sang Min spent his childhood years attending Taekwondo and Kungfu lessons in order to defend himself from the tough guys of his rough neighborhood, mainly inhabited by impoverished immigrants.

Other stars confirmed for the drama include male lead Park Shi Hoo and Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri.

This will mark Yoon Tae Young’s first acting project since wrapping up MBC’s “The Night Watchman’s Journal” and KBS’ “Last Puzzle” approximately a year ago.

“Neighborhood Hero” is expected to air in the beginning of next year.
