Hwang Jung Eum Transforms Into a Complete Mess in New "She Was Pretty" Stills

Actress Hwang Jung Eum is definitely not afraid of change for her new drama “She Was Pretty.”

In the preview stills released on September 4, Hwang Jung Eum, playing the drama’s main character Kim Hye Jin, sports bushy hair and face full of freckles.

Kim Hye Jin used to be rich, pretty, at the top of her class, and she had a great personality, until puberty hit her and turned her life upside down. Now, she is a pitiful, unemployed adult swimming in massive student loans. Then, Hye Jin’s first love, Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon), who she broke up with 15 years ago, comes back into her life. Embarrassed to face him the way she is now, Hye Jin asks her best friend Ha Ri (Go Joon Hee) to meet Sung Joon for her. The drama unfolds as Hye Jin is then forced to live a pretend life that she never asked for.

The production company of the drama states, “Hwang Jung Eum is working very hard to perfect her character. Her character is very realistic and many viewers will able to relate to her. Please look forward to meeting ‘Kim Hye Jin’ through the drama.”

Meanwhile, “She Was Pretty” will air on September 16 after “Scholar Who Walks the Night” finishes its run.
