Song Joong Ki Throws Great First Pitch for Favorite Baseball Team

Song Joong Ki’s fanboy dreams must have come true now that he’s thrown out the first pitch for his favorite pro baseball team!

On the afternoon of September 5, the actor took the mound at the Daejeon Hanbat Baseball Stadium, the home of the Hanwha Eagles, for the team’s game against the Doosan Bears.

Song Joong Ki was born in Daejeon, and he’s a huge fan of the Hanwha Eagles. At his military service discharge ceremony this May, he even said, “I love baseball. The Hanwha Eagles were a big source of strength to me while I was serving.”

As he stands on the mound and greets the audience, one of the announcers comments, “The cheers from the female fans are amazing,” and his co-announcer hilariously replies, “Well, he’s very handsome!” No doubt about that.

Song Joong Ki winds up like a pro, and then makes a pitch that gets the crowd cheering. An announcer comments, “He must have been under a lot of pressure, but that was a pretty great throw.”
