Ladies' Code Releases Beautiful Second Tribute to EunB and RiSe

Girl group Ladies’ Code has released a second tribute song, “Smile Even If It Hurts,” for late members EunB and RiSe in commemoration of the first anniversary of their deaths.

The first memorial song “I’m Fine Thank You” was released on September 3, the date of EunB’s passing, and this second tribute was released today, September 7, which marks exactly one year since the passing of fellow member RiSe.

Unlike “I’m Fine Thank You,” which is a remake of a Ladies’ Code song that features their Polaris Entertainment labelmates Kim Bum Soo, Yang Dong Geun, and more, this second tribute is a bit more personal as it features just the vocals of the three surviving members of Ladies’ Code, Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny.

“Smile Even If It Hurts” is a new song co-written for the occasion by up-and-coming composer Seo Yoo Suk and established hitmaker Seo Ui Bum who wrote the song “In Front of Your House,” which Kim Soo Hyun sang himself for drama “Man From the Stars.” Member Sojung also contributed to the lyrics, which are meant to capture and express the pain and suffering the remaining members have undergone since RiSe and EunB died in the tragic car accident last year.
