New Stills From “Descendants of the Sun” Revealed

A representative from KBS 2TV’s “Descendants of the Sun” released stills from the drama for the first time on Instagram on September 17. They show images of actors Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki exuding perfect chemistry.

The scene portrays the fateful meeting of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. Song Joong Ki playing Yoo Shi Jin, the captain of the special forces, displays charisma in his army uniform and sunglasses. Song Hye Kyo who plays the role of Dr. Kang Mo Yeon turns to look longingly at Song Joong Ki. She’s as beautiful as ever even in everyday clothes. The fans are anticipating their perfect onscreen chemistry.

“Descendants of the Sun” is a story of a young soldier and doctor pursuing love and dreams as strangers in a distant land. It’s a melodrama portraying the very essence of life.

“Descendants of the Sun” is a 100 percent pre-production drama and is already gaining attention with Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki’s appearances. It is also a comeback project for the writer Kim Eun Sook of “The Heirs” and is the most anticipated drama of 2016.
