iKON's Bobby Achieves His Dream of Getting a House for His Parents in Korea

Rapper Bobby of YG Entertainment‘s newest boy group iKON has achieved his long-time dream of getting a house in Korea for his parents.

News outlet Osen reported on September 18 that Bobby has recently brought his parents to Korea from the United States. Bobby left his parents at an early age to fly to Korea to train under YG around five to six years ago. At his audition, he is said to have told producer Yang Hyun Suk and the other judges that his dream was to “bring his parents to Korea and help them live a happy life.”

Even on shows like “Show Me the Money” and “Mix & Match,” Bobby has often talked about his parents, at times shedding tears with the thought of them. On “Show Me the Money,” he revealed that he hasn’t seen his mother in over four years.

Bobby was able to bring his parents back to Korea relatively quickly thanks to his win on “Show Me the Money 3.” It was reported that Yang Hyun Suk has allowed Bobby to keep all of the prize money from the show.

With the prize money from “Show Me the Money 3” and the support from YG, Bobby was finally able to purchase a home in Korea for his parents.

Most recently, Bobby finally had his much-anticipated debut as iKON with the pre-release single “My Type,” which has topped various music charts since its release.
