Actress Lee Si Young Retires From Boxing
Actress Lee Si Young has retired from boxing.
According to a media outlet on September 23, Lee Si Young stopped training in June and has retired as an athlete due to chronic shoulder dislocation.
Lee Si Young had been training to compete for a spot on the national team that would represent Korea in the 2015 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. However, with her retirement, she also stops her journey towards the Olympics. With this, Lee Si Young retires from a six-year boxing career.
Meanwhile, Lee Si Young previously injured her shoulder during the 2013 Nationals. She was not able to participated in the 2014 Nationals because of the injury.
She still chased her dream, even attempting to convert to being a right-hander. However, her condition did not improve for her to continue on with her career.
