Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – September Week 4

Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb” moves up nine spots to become our new No. 1 song this week. It ended the three week dominance of their more famous SM label mate Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart.” “Dumb Dumb” won on Inkigayo, M!Countdown, and Show Champion last week, and were also among the top songs on every chart sources. It is Red Velvet’s second No. 1 hit this year as their “Ice Cream Cake” also topped our chart. Red Velvet joins BIGBANG, EXO, Girls’ Generation, and EXID as artists with multiple No. 1 songs in 2015. Congratulations to Red Velvet.

“Lion Heart” moves down a spot to No. 2 and GFRIEND’s “Me Gustas Tu” remains at No. 3 to complete an all female groups top three for this week.

There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Moving up 16 spots to No. 5 is Shinhwa’s Jun Jin. His song “Wow Wow Wow” is the title track of his second solo mini-album “#REAL#.” It is a powerful dance song with additive melody and synth sound. The simple and catchy lyrics will catch all fans’ attentions. Fellow Shinhwa member Eric is also featured as the rapper of this song.

Debuting at No. 10 is rookie male group SEVENTEEN’s first ever top 10 hit “Mansae.” This song is coming from SEVENTEEN’s second mini-album “BOYS BE.” The song has a powerful bass arrangement. The lyrics are about a guy in love. The thirteen members showcase their multi-talented singing and rapping skills in this song.
