Han Chae Young Leaves SM C&C for Hanyang E&M, to Better Tackle Chinese Market

Actress Han Chae Young has left her former agency for a new one.

The actress recently signed a management contract with agency Hanyang E&M after the expiration of her contract with SM C&C.

Hanyang E&M is a relatively new company that is a subsidiary of Hanyang HiTao, a partner company associated with Chinese e-commerce business Global HiTao. Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba and broadcasting company Hunan Broadcasting System have invested in this company. Hanyang HiTao has exclusive rights to supply all Korean makeup sold on HiTao.

One associate of the actress told the press, “Han Chae Young is popular in the Chinese market. I believe she decided to sign with this company as they would help her extend her reach in China and other Asian countries.”
