YG's Yang Hyun Suk Says iKON Reminds Him of BIGBANG

YG Entertainment‘s CEO Yang Hyun Suk relayed his thoughts on iKON‘s debut.

On October 3, iKON held its debut concert “SHOWTIME” and a press conference.

During the press conference, Yang Hyun Suk said, “I made BIGBANG nine years ago and [iKON] reminds me of them. As I was watching the concert, I felt like a parent.”

He then added, “I was very proud of them. They performed on the biggest stage in Korea under their own name. I was worried that they might make mistakes, but it was enjoyable because they weren’t as nervous as I thought they would be. Part of the reason why I produce groups is because I want to see how much they can grow up in five or ten years, like BIGBANG.”

Meanwhile, iKON has recently revealed their successful debut half album “WELCOME BACK,” and will have their debut stage on October 4 on SBS‘s “Inkigayo.”
