Girls' Generation's Tiffany Says She Cried Her Eyes Out While Listening to Taeyeon's New Song

On October 6, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon celebrated the release of her first solo mini album “I” by hosting her own broadcast on Naver’s V app.

When she had some time left on the show, she wanted to talk to some of her group members over the phone. “If you’re watching this right now, call me!” she orders them with a laugh. “Right now! Anyone!”

Her phone finally rings, and it’s none other than her fellow Girls’ Generation member and great friend Tiffany!

Tiffany congratulates her on her debut, and asks her how she feels. Taeyeon replies, “I can’t express it in words,” and Tiffany squeals in delight, “It’s so awesome!”

“You cried, didn’t you?” says Taeyeon, and then says to the camera, “When I finished recording and played the final version for her, she suddenly started crying!”

“It was like a faucet was turned on!” admits Tiffany, cracking Taeyeon up. “I don’t cry a lot these days, I’m strong. But I’m not lying, when I heard Taeyeon’s song, I was crying for like three and a half, or four minutes. There was even snot.”

“The members were all there,” she adds. “I cried too!” says Taeyeon.

Tiffany agrees, and says everyone was so touched they were teary-eyed too. “It’s true, we cried,” says Taeyeon.

Taeyeon then thanks Tiffany and all the members for supporting her and helping her as she prepared for her solo debut. Tiffany gets choked up again as she asks viewers to support Taeyeon, and so Taeyeon jokes, “I’d better hang up quick! See you at home! Thank you!” After she hangs up, she looks totally touched, and blinks a bit to stop herself from crying.

Taeyeon then lets us know that the other members of the group have also been sending messages of support to her through their group chat.

On October 7, Tiffany posted a promo picture for Taeyeon’s mini album to her Instagram with the English caption, “listening to this album brought me into tears within the first song #i is deeply refreshing & altogether so liberating. words cant explain how proud & inspired i am. tonights your night bae & its only your beginning xx.”
