Song Jong Kook Apologizes to His Wife and Kids

Song Jong Kook spoke up about his divorce with his wife in a recent interview.

On October 7, he stated, “I feel sorry towards fans and especially my wife and kids for not being able to do my job as the head of the family.”

The former soccer star explained, “Ji Ah’s mom has child custody rights because I think a child needs their mom more while growing up. That definitely doesn’t mean I will not care about childrearing as a father. With this context in mind, I handed over the home I lived with my children in.”

He continued, “I went to the amusement park with the kids last weekend. I plan to support and care for the kids regardless. I want to apologize again to the fans that have loved us.”

Meanwhile, Song Jong Kook and Park Ip Sun recently filed their divorce papers and have been living separately for over two years now.
