Soompi Is Hiring: Writers and Editorial Intern

Soompi has job openings! We are looking for talented and dedicated people who are passionate about delivering K-pop, K-drama, and Korean culture content to the masses to join our team. There are positions available for freelance telecommuting writers and a Seoul office editorial intern.

Features Writer

As a Soompi features writer, you will write fun and awesome articles from home on a flexible work schedule. The position is paid and begins ASAP.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about Korean entertainment and culture
  • Possesses a fun and engaging writing style
  • Strong command of English grammar
  • Experience in personal blogging, social media networking, or Photoshop preferred

Editorial Intern

As a Soompi editorial intern, you will report to our Seoul office from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 5 days a week. Our interns are fully involved in the Soompi editorial team, assisting in all stages of the editorial process. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to create and publish your own original work.

The internship period is expected to last three months, with the possibility for extension. The internship is paid and begins ASAP.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about Korean entertainment and culture
  • Possesses a fun and engaging writing style
  • Strong command of English grammar
  • Organized, proactive, and dedicated
  • Korean reading proficiency preferred (please list your skill level)
  • Experience in personal blogging, social media networking, or Photoshop preferred

Although the position is paid, we will not be providing housing or transportation expenses. Additionally, you must be able to work legally in Korea, meaning that you will need to possess a proper visa. F-4 (for people of Korean heritage) and H-1 (for people from Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, and Japan) will suffice. Other visas may be an option. We cannot sponsor visas.
