Hwang Jung Eum Tells Viewers What to Expect in Upcoming Episodes of "She Was Pretty"

In an interview with MBC on October 7, Hwang Jung Eum, who plays Hye Jin in the drama “She Was Pretty,” revealed that her character will soon undergo a massive change in the drama.

She said, “Make sure to continue watching the drama as Hye Jin will soon undergo a very shocking transformation.”

She further reflected on her character as she stated, “From the beginning, when I took on the character of Kim Hye Jin, I promised myself that I would not try to look pretty in front of the camera. I worked hard on distancing myself from that beautiful, pretty girl image.”

She continued, “However, when watching myself in the drama, I was surprised by the result. My image turned out to be more shocking than I expected it to be.”

When asked about what she would do if she was confronted with a similar situation as Kim Hye Jin and was reunited with her first love, Hwang Jung Eum replied, “To be honest, I would reveal to him that I am his first love. Even if he was disappointed by my changed looks, I believe that he would like me more for my personality than for my looks just as how Kim Hye Jin liked Ji Sung Joon for his personality when they were kids.”
