Girls’ Generation's Taeyeon Impresses with MR Removed Performance

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon grabbed viewers’ attention by giving an impressive performance of her solo debut song “I” on stage. The video clip of her performance with the MR (music recording) removed from the October 8 broadcast of Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is circulating online and causing quite a stir.

The process of removing the MR is usually done so the listener can judge the singer’s live vocal talent without various background music and instrumentals getting in the way.

In the video clip, Taeyeon is standing against the fancy and colorful floral background. The song reaches its climax in the second verse as she shows off her explosive vocal talent.

She has been active as the main vocalist of Girls’ Generation and has experience singing various OSTs. As a result, she definitely did not disappoint her fans with her solo performance.

Taeyeon is scheduled to appear on KBS’s “Music Bank” on October 9 followed by MBC’s “Music Core” on October 10.
