SG Wannabe’s Kim Jin Ho Was Eliminated From Auditions Because of Looks

On the October 10 episode of JTBC’s “Hidden Singer 4,” SG Wannabe’s Kim Jin Ho appeared as the original singer and revealed why the ballad group initially declined to appear on music shows or in their own music videos.

The song for the first round was his debut song, “Timeless.” Kim Jin Ho explained that SG Wannabe was originally planned to be a duet group and he was recruited last. “When I went to the audition I was told that I wouldn’t make it because of my looks,” he said. “The company offered to give me plastic surgery.”

Kim Jin Ho refused and left. “Two days later, the company contacted me,” he went on. “But I think I was the reason that the group was called the singers without faces.”
