Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – October Week 3
Amazingly, Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb” continues to be our No. 1 song this week. Taking advantages of opponents switching to a new song and split decisions on music programs, “Dumb Dumb” continues to be the most consistent song on our chart. It becomes the first song in 2015 to spend 4 or more weeks at the top spot. Congratulations again to Red Velvet.
There are three new songs in the top 10 this week, lead by iKON’s “RHYTHM TA.” This song replaced “My Type” and landed at the same No. 2 spot. This is one of the two title tracks of iKON’s debut half album “Welcome Back.” It is a dynamic hip-hop song with trap beats telling listeners to enjoy the music without any restrictions. “RHYTHM TA” was just five points below “Dumb Dumb.” Some of the music charts still listed iKON’s debut song “My Type” as their highest charting song. That may have cost the top spot for “RHYTHM TA” this week.
Moving up 10 spots to No. 3 is Ailee’s new song “Mind Your Own Business.” After debuting more than three years ago, Ailee finally released her first full length album, “VIVID.” The title song, “Mind Your Own Business,” has powerful shuffle rhythm and funky brass sound. The melody and arrangement fits perfectly with Ailee’s strong vocals. This song won on “Show Champion” last week and will be one of many candidates fighting for the top spot next week.
Up nine spots to No. 5 and scoring their first top five hit is one of last year’s standout male group GOT7. Their latest hit “If You Do” is coming from their mini-album “MAD.” It is a mid-tempo dance song with additive melody about a guy who is sick of his self-centered girlfriend.
